高校生（ブリティッシュ・スクール・イン・トウキョウ昭和 ）の図書館職業体験が6月20日から始まりました。
職業体験1日目を振り返って。。。

職業体験初日を通して新たに経験したことは、図書館では本が送られてきてから、実際に本棚に並ぶまでに沢山の人が関わっていることと、棚に並んだ後も一つ一つしっかりと管理されているということを知りました。
以前までの図書館のイメージというのが、静かというだけあって、皆黙々と仕事をこなしているだけかと思いきや、様々な企画を考えたり、展示書物の設営等々。楽しい事を経験させていただきました。
Looking back to my first day of work experience at the Showa library, I realized there are more people and process involved in order for books to actually being placed on bookshelves. Even after that, each books are carefully controlled by the system and members of staff. Until I come here, working at the library sounded unamusing. This is because the nice quiet environment that library have and image of librarians just sorting out the books all day long. Yet, I was wrong. Planning an event and setting up for the little exhibition was really fun. And all the workers at this library seemed happy about what they do. (A.W)
